We decided to share our story of being wrongly accused of child abuse to raise awareness and hopefully prevent the same from happening to more families. It is important to know your rights and to understand that anyone can be accused if just one doctor makes a wrong assumption. Then it becomes a game of telephone, with reality being twisted to fit their theories. In my case, I lost custody for almost a year and our family remains torn apart. For months on end, I wasn’t allowed to see my son without a supervisor present. We spent literally hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting these allegations and continue to have more legal costs and headaches associated with it.
